Sermon; The Seventh Sunday after Pentecost: "How Is Your Prayer Life?"
Date: July 28, 2019
Liturgical Day: The Seventh Sunday after Pentecost (Proper 12C)
Prayer, one of the primary ways we connect with God, and an important discipleship habit for Christians, is not always something about which we’re both confident and capable. Jesus prayed whenever important events or decisions were coming soon. Abraham prayed to deepen his relationship with God, and to participate with God in bearing righteousness and justice into the world. As we entrust the most important aspects of our lives to God, and as we pray to be drawn into God’s work, perhaps prayer can be as important to us as it was to them.
